Laura Jones, MSW, RSW

Master of Social Work, Registered Social Worker

I am a registered Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work. I  work with individuals (ages 16+), couples, and families who are navigating a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, and major life transitions. I am  committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where clients – including members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community – can feel seen, heard, and supported.

My approach integrates skills and techniques from multiple theories and modalities of treatment, including somatic-based practices, Polyvagal Theory and the nervous system, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and solution-focused practices. I also incorporate role play as a hands-on technique to practice communication skills, setting boundaries, and emotion regulation in real-world scenarios.

I am  committed to ensuring that every session is grounded in trust, safety, and collaboration and is tailored to each client’s needs, values, and goals. Sessions begin with a check-in and evolve into meaningful work that helps individuals unpack difficult emotions, explore patterns, and build practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. No matter the reason for seeking therapy, I am dedicated to walking alongside clients on their path toward healing and growth.
